General
The Internet provides a lot of information and a vast variety of services, yet it also involves quite a few dangers.
Therefore, we consider it of utmost importance that you keep your working environment secure.
Identification Data and Passwords
Your identification details are private and confidential. Do not keep them exposed in any way.
When identifying yourself to the system, make sure that no unauthorized entities are in your immediate area.
You must never reveal or give out your personal password to anyone else. Should you be asked to reveal your personal password, you must refuse.
You should immediately report such incidents to our e-support at +41 44 207 96 66.
Please do not save login information (username, password, etc.) on your computer. Information stored on your computer’s hard disc may be exposed to Trojans, viruses, worms and file sharing software (such as Kazza, E-mule etc.) that allow access to files on your computer through internet connection.
Working with the System
When entering the system, the date and time of your last connection to the system will appear. Make sure this information is accurate.
While browsing the Website you need to make sure that the encryption of the Web pages is activated (SSL encryption). When the communication to the Bank is encrypted, a symbol of a lock (in Microsoft Internet Explorer) or a symbol of a key (in Netscape Navigator) will appear at the bottom of the browser. When encryption is off the lock symbol (MS explorer) will be of an open lock and the key symbol (Netscape Navigator) will be of a broken key (more information on the identification of the Website can be accessed by double click on the lock/key symbol).
Please note that the login-page’s URL starts with https, which indicates secure connection (whereas a normal http connection indicates a non secure connection).
Logoff the System
The system will automatically disconnect communication line after 20 minutes of no activity.
However, at the end of your session, logoff the system properly by hitting on the corresponding button - do not wait for the system to automatically disconnect.
When finished using the system, especially if a public computer is concerned, close the browser properly.
After having logged off the system, re-entering it will only be possible by identifying yourself again.
Managing your Password
Choosing a Password
When you enter the system for the first time, you will be requested to enter the initial password you received and immediately change it to a new one.
It is of utmost importance that the password you choose will be random and difficult to guess. The password should contain at least 6 characters combining numbers and plain letters together. You can use up to 12 such characters. It is recommended, however, to use 10 characters.
Changing the Password
You may change your personal password any time. It is highly recommended to alter/modify it often. You should change it immediately if you suspect it may have been exposed. Change of password is executed through the tools menu -> update user details-> change password.
Password Blocking
Shortly before a period of 180 days has elapsed, if you haven’t entered the system or changed your password during that period, the system will send an alert message to change your password. If after 180 days your password remains unchanged, the User ID will be blocked.
After 3 unsuccessful attempts to enter a password, the User ID will be blocked.
Unlock Procedure
If you have forgotten your password, or were blocked by the system for any other reason, please call our e-support at +41 44 207 96 66.
